I found the low-profile AR mag carrier Brendan Herrera wears in some videos. It turns out it is the “Heat Rig,” by kommandostore.com, located here. It is a replica of the rig the SAS guys who consulted on the movie “Heat” designed and had Val Kilmer’s character use for fast reloads in the heavy bank robberies they did in the film.

$120 for the rig, with shipping extra. I do not get any money for plugging it here, but it looks like quality kit, and I want my fellow Americans well set up, given what is coming. I assume if there is no demand, they will stop making them, which would be a shame. And I know of no other way to carry 240 rounds in mags, ready for speed reloads, completely covertly under a suit jacket. Add in an 8 mag “84 Bandolier,” on sale for about 45, and join their mailing list, and you get free shipping, and you can lug, with two mags jungle-clipped in your primary, 540 rounds, which is more than enough for a party. Add in a chest rig over your plate carrier while wearing the Heat rig like a vest, and you are at 720 rounds, which at almost 3/4 of a case, is a lot of weight, but also a lot of fun, now that forced reset triggers are a thing.

Buy the large if you can, as the velcro in the back will let you wear it tight over soft armor under a suit jacket, or you can loosen it up considerably to wear it over plates. FYI.
