The new bot is now back online on the beta bot: @AnonyMeetBetaBot

With some fixes, and the new Indonesian language 🇮🇩

The new bot is almost ready! I plan to make the change to the new one on January 30, 2021 ⏱. Unfortunately it will not be possible to keep the chats active from the old one.
Note: the new one will be an updated and better performing version of the old one, at the time of release, it will have the same features (they will be added with time!).

💬 A small Q&A from the feedbacks
Q: Why does the bot keep matching me with a gender I didn't choose?
A: If at the time of the search, the bot is unable to find a partner that meets the criteria, it still tries to create as many pairs as possible, because keeping users waiting in memory is resource-consuming. In the future though with the update, this may change, stay tuned.

Q: Why we can't change gender ourself?
A: Well, I didn't know that was possible do it with a simple button in real world 😂. But, a way to be able to update it will come in the future in case of errors.

After some monitoring, it looks like the release of the new @AnonyMeetBot bot went pretty well! 🎉
Some minor issues that some users were having have been fixed.
The beta version has now been deactivated, it will be activated in case of new betas!

New features will be coming soon!

A large influx of users is causing slowdowns to the bot 🐌. The situation is slowly recovering, sorry for the inconvenience 😔

Since yesterday there are some major slowdowns on bot performance 😓. I'm working on longer term fixes that should help when there are tens of thousands of users all at once (more and more often!).

I have released a bot update with some performance improvements. It should significantly reduce response time and match time during hours with more active users! 🤞

Keep people in matching status is a memory-consuming operation, that why the "random match" exists, however, with any vip package, you will be put the vip queue, which should improve the quality and the speed of your matches. (This feature is still in beta, will improve over time!)

🔥 Usernames & Links
They got removed some time ago, because a lot of people abuses by spamming other channels, groups and a lot of unwanted stuff. VIP users will be able to share and read links and usernames with their matches again!

✨ VIP tag
When you match with a partner, you will be marked as "VIP partner", so they know you are special and they can share stuff with you ❤️

🔧 Ability to change the gender
If you selected the wrong gender when you registered, now you can using the /fix_gender command! It's limited to VIP users (/vip) only 1 time per month, to avoid abuses and fake users.

📞 Calls
The new Telegram update allowed to implement automatic & anonymous video and/or audio calls! When you are in chat, type the /call command!
VIP users have totally unlimited calls, while free users are limited 1 call per match lasting 2 minutes.

⚠️ This feature is experimental, might not work on some devices
