#البحـيرة_المقدسـة
• هى بحـيرة طولهـا ٨٠ م وعرضها ٤٠ م ، وتُوجد فى قلب معابـد الكرنك بالأقصـر ، وكان الملـوك وكهـنة المعـبد فى العصـور القديمة يستخدمونها للاغتسـال والتطهر قبيل ممارسـة الطقوس الدينية.
• وتُعتبر هـذه البحـيرة المقدسـة من أكثر أسرار مصر القديمة غموضا ، فهى لا تجف أبدا بل إن مستواها يظل ثابتا دائما طوال العام ، كما أن مياهها لا تأسـن مطلقا وإنما تتجدد تلقائيا باستمرار رغم بعدها بمسافة كبيرة عن نهر النيل.
• تم حفرها فى زمن الملك تحتمس الثالث ( ١٤٨٦ - ١٤٣٦ ق.م. ) وكان يحيط بها سور ضخـم (ولكنه تهدم بمرور الزمن) ، ويُوجـد لها مدخلان أحدهما يقع فى الجهة الشرقية والثانى فى الجهـة الغربية ، وفى كل جهـة تُوجـد سـلالم حجريـة تسـاعد على النزول إلى المياه والخروج منها.

• Its length is 80 m and 40 m width, It is found in the middle of Karnak temples in Luxor,
• In ancient times the kings and priests of the temple used its water to wash and cleanse before the practice of religious rites.
