Egypt tops the National Geographic list of the top 25 tourist destinations around the world for 2023.

Under the title β€œ25 breathtaking places and experiences for 2023”, National Geographic released a list of the best tourist destinations to visit in 2023.

The article highlighted Egypt’s Grand Egyptian Museum, which will be open in the near future, and the Avenue of the Sphinxes in Luxor, which was opened last year, putting Egypt at the top destination for cultural tourism in 2023.

The Tomb of Wah-ty in Saqqara, Giza.First,who is Wah-ty? Wah-ty is a high-ranking preist and official who served King Neferirkare (One of the the Pharouhs in the 5th Dynasty, The Old Kingdom Period). Wah-ty died at the age of 35 (based on his skull).

The Tomb of Wah-ty is located in the Bubasteum Necropolis of Saqarra.The tomb contains 5 Burial shafts for Wah-ty and his family and three of these shafts are not finished.

The Tomb was Dicovered by an Egyptian Team led by Dr.Mostafa el-waziri in November 2019,including a hard worker Mustafa Abdu.

One of the most popular pieces found in Tutankhamun’s tomb is his golden throne made of gilded wood and decorated with colored glass and semi-precious stones.

The focal point of the throne is the decorated scene on the back. It shows the royal couple under the rays of the solar disk. Tutankhamun is seated on his throne and wears an elaborate headdress and jewlery.

Tutankhamun’s wife, Ankhesenamun, is shown standing while applying perfumed ointments to his skin from a cup in her hand. The queen also wears an elaborate crown and jewelery.

Hesy-ra was a High official at a Time of the 3rd Dynasty, The Old Kingdom Period.He was also know as the First dentist in History,He got the title of "the Great one of the dentists".

Hesy-Ra dealt with typical diseases such as tooth decay, which were usually treated with extractions. His knowledge and the treatments he provided for the entire Egyptian population led him to become one of the great dentists of his time.

The Tomb of Khuwy in Saqqara, Giza.Khuwy was the Secretary of the Pharouh and the oversees the land-tenants of the palace.

The Tomb of Khuwy is a rare colorful tomb that dates back to more than 4,300 years the old Kingdom Period.The Discovery of the tomb is Known as one of 2019's 10 best Discoveries.

The tomb was Dicovered by an Egyptian mission headed by Professor Mohammad Megahed.The Mission uncovered the tomb while documenting the collection of pyramids that belongs to King Djed-kare (a 5th Dynasty Pharouh).

Tutankhamun’s body was buried in a quartzite sarcophagus which held three coffins: the outer, middle and innermost.

This one, the middle gilded coffin, is made of wood before being inlaid with multicolored glass.

The king is shown crossing his arms, holding the crook and flail, while a band of hieroglyphs rests vertically on the lower part. Incredibly, Carter found this coffin covered by a red linen shroud topped with dry garlands of flowers.
