This FASCINATED me.
Meet the 'Gebelein Man', from the Predynastic period, around 3500 BC, who was found in #Gebelein, #Egypt & naturally mummified in the dessert sun/sands for 5000 years! Detail such as his hair had me entranced.
The man's death was caused by a stab wound to his shoulder, which would explain the position of his body. Autopsy deciphered he was a strong man who clearly died painfully. Sights like this are well worth the day out.

The following photo's I took on one of my trips of the British Museum. The images are of #Egyptian heigropholic inscriptions depicting God's such as #Horos, Osiris, Debwen, etc & rage (roughly) from 15-1400 BC (Across various pharos/dynasties). By the time Roman forces dominated in 30 BC, they considered #Egypt ancient.
