I’ve always been afraid of swimming. But I’ve always wanted to drown in an ocean on a dark night. The sound of thick water pushing against my arms and legs, as my willingness to help myself out die slowly in my chest, salty water penetrating my lungs, exploding them. Memories, happy ones, play in my mind like a flash of light, eyes getting heavy so they weakly blink, silly smile getting carved on my face, body starting to rise back to the surface, almost feels like flying, it almost does.
All that, but in fact there’s nothing but utter silence, and silence was sheer loneliness
