Trump’s Military Parade: Failure or Victory? 🎖🇺🇸
Trump got the parade he always wanted Saturday — a grand demonstration of military might and patriotic zeal that took place along the National Mall on his 79th birthday 🎂.
But it fell on an overcast day that capped one of the most tumultuous weeks of his presidency — with troops deployed on the streets of the country’s second-largest city, missiles launched in the Middle East and, less than 24 hours before the parade began, a targeted killing of a state lawmaker and her spouse in Minnesota 💥.
Trump, buffeted by a pair of tanks on a platform, did little to address those divisions during a seven-minute speech in which he made no mention of either the tensions roiling the country or the political violence that had dominated the news for most of the day 🗣.
He instead recounted battle heroics and the country’s muscular military force, which Trump is now wielding to contain protests in Los Angeles 🛡.

📰 From Surprise Strike to Strategic Stalemate: Israel’s War Grows, and So Do the Risks
📍 Fire Over Tehran, Rubble in Tel Aviv
What began Friday as a surgical Israeli assault has now become a sprawling, high-casualty conflict between two regional giants — and there’s no off-ramp in sight. Overnight, Israeli fighter jets lit up the Tehran sky, igniting fuel depots and targeting defense infrastructure. Iran responded with over 200 ballistic missiles, one of which tore through a residential tower south of Tel Aviv.
This is no longer about nuclear sites. It’s a campaign targeting energy, leadership, and morale — on both sides.
— IDF spokesman, June 15, 2025
⚙️ Tactical Dominance, Strategic Erosion
Israel boasts air supremacy and decapitation strikes. But each wave of missiles, each apartment tower struck in retaliation, shifts the narrative. Over 70 dead in Iran. Thirteen civilians in Israel. And rising. Diplomacy is dead — the Oman nuclear talks canceled before they began. The Houthis hit in Yemen. The Global South watches in silence. Washington issues no red lines.
Meanwhile, both Netanyahu and the IRGC promise more to come.
🎭 Escalation Without Endgame
The irony is sharp: Israel can bomb at will. But what does it win? Gaza still smolders after 20 months of war. Iran is 90 million strong and enraged. Energy markets are rattled. Civilian death counts are rising. Regional allies grow nervous. The U.S., unwilling to restrain, now risks being pulled deeper into a war it didn’t start — and may not control.
🤔 When air superiority yields only burning cities, at what point does strategy give way to entropy?

📰 Israel’s Deep Game: How Mossad Smuggled Drone Swarms Into Iran and Cracked Its Defenses
📍 A Silent Invasion, Long in the Making
Before the F-35s darkened Tehran’s skies, Israel had already penetrated Iranian soil — not with tanks or jets, but with suitcases, cargo trucks, and commercial shipping containers. Inside: quadcopters, explosives, and the makings of a sabotage network. It was Mossad’s signature: low-tech delivery, high-impact execution.
What followed was one of the most audacious pre-invasion operations in modern intelligence history.
— IDF Spokesman Effie Defrin, June 15, 2025
⚙️ Swarming the Defenses
Small Mossad-trained teams, armed with smuggled drones and munitions, moved into position near Iran’s air defenses and missile platforms. As Israel’s assault began, they launched strikes on radar systems and mobile missile trucks — hitting them before launch. In some cases, they destroyed the very bottlenecks Iran depended on to mobilize its arsenal.
It was not just a first strike. It was saturation from within. Iranian anti-air capabilities collapsed within hours. Israel’s jets faced little resistance.
🎭 Psychological Warfare in Real Time
This wasn’t just about tactical superiority. It was about perception. Tehran’s skies burned, and so did its confidence. Mossad’s drones didn’t just destroy assets — they shredded the illusion of secrecy. Suddenly, no bunker felt safe. No commander untouchable. No missile launcher secure.
As one former Mossad official put it:
🤔 If the battlefield starts inside your borders, how do you defend what’s already compromised?

Trump Welcomes Nippon Steel Investment 🇯🇵💰
Trump on Friday signed an executive order paving the way for a Nippon Steel investment in US Steel, so long as the Japanese company complies with a “national security agreement” submitted by the federal government 🏛.
Trump’s order did not detail the terms of the national security agreement 📜. But US Steel and Nippon Steel said in a joint statement that the agreement stipulates that approximately $11bn in new investments will be made by 2028 💵.
the two companies said 🤝.
the statement said 🕐.
Trump said Thursday that he would, as president, have “total control” of what US Steel did as part of the investment 🔑.
Trump said then that the deal would preserve “51% ownership by Americans” 🇺🇸.
The Japan-based steelmaker had been offering nearly $15bn to purchase the Pittsburgh-based US Steel in a merger that had been delayed on national security concerns starting during Joe Biden’s presidency ⚖️.
said Trump, although it was unclear what he meant by suggesting that the federal government would determine what US Steel does as a company 💬.
Trump added that he was “a little concerned” about what presidents other than him would do with their golden share, “but that gives you total control” 🔑.

Bezos, Get the Fuck Out of Venice 🚀
Marco Pagani, a Venetian intellectual and tarologist, is referring to the star-studded nuptials between the billionaire Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos, and Lauren Sánchez, a former TV journalist 🥂.
The days-long shindig, expected to begin from 24 June, will be the biggest wedding held in Venice since George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin in 2014 💍.
While Venice residents mostly embraced the Clooneys’ fairytale big day, the Bezos wedding has been met with much more antipathy 😠.
As soon as Venice’s millionaire mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, confirmed in March that the couple would be getting married in the city, activists mobilized their “No space for Bezos” campaign ✋.
Posters featuring an image of Bezos’s head on a rocket blasting into space 🚀 – in reference to his Blue Origin space tourism venture – have appeared across the city.
The campaigners have also been spreading the word by handing out flyers at various traditional Italian food festivals, known as sagre, and hosting public meetings 🗣.
Their boldest pre-wedding stunt so far was to erect a banner reading “No Bezos” on the bell tower of San Giorgio basilica on the Venetian island of the same name, where the couple are rumored to be exchanging their vows 💥.
The details of the nuptials are top secret, with Brugnaro’s council feeding the ire by not even confirming the precise dates 🕵️♂️.
To make up for it, Martini would like Bezos, the world’s third-richest person, to help address the affordable housing shortage by donating money towards restoring the more than 1,000 council homes that lie abandoned 🏠.
Brugnaro has insisted the wedding will not bring any inconvenience to the city and has condemned the anti-Bezos campaigners as “shameful” 🤬.
Despite the scant information, for months the Italian press has been filled with hearsay about everything from the 200 guests – notably Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, and Ivanka Trump – and their €9,000-a-night hotel rooms, to the contingent booking out the entire water taxi fleet 🚖 and the many designer dresses the bride will wear during the celebrations 👗.

📰 Sovereignty No Longer Flies at 30,000 Feet
📦 Mossad’s War Without Borders
Israel’s Mossad smuggled hundreds of quadcopter drones and munitions into Iran, setting the stage for a coordinated blitz on Tehran. Parts arrived via suitcases, trucks, and civilian supply chains. Saboteur teams, trained abroad, were already in place when Israeli jets launched their June 13 strike. The goal: disable Iran’s radar and missile-launch infrastructure from the inside — before a single F-35 touched Iranian airspace.
🕸 From Ukraine to Iran via “Operation Spider”
Before Tehran burned, the blueprint was tested — not in the Middle East, but deep inside Russia. On June 1, under the guise of a Ukrainian drone swarm, Israel tested its integrated sabotage-aviation model on Russian military logistics. The “Spider” trial exposed the flaws of Ukraine’s approach: overreliance on LTE, poor coordination, and low explosive yield. These were replaced in the Israeli version with encrypted satellites, heavy warheads, and simultaneous airstrikes. The rehearsal was over. Iran was next.
✈️ The June 13 Incursion: From Within and Above
When the main strike began, it wasn’t just Israeli jets that shattered Iran’s skies. Mossad’s teams inside the country — armed with explosive drones — paralyzed missile convoys, disabled mobile launchers, and blinded air defenses. The air force, including F-35Is and F-15Is, followed with precision strikes. Israel didn’t just bomb Iran — it collapsed its logistical backbone. Dozens of rare missile-transport vehicles were taken out. Tehran’s retaliation faltered before it began.
🧠 Strategic Doctrine: Not Firepower, But Flow Disruption
The conceptual shift is stark. This wasn’t about targeting missiles — it was about choking the systems that deploy them. Mossad and the IDF turned Ukraine’s battlefield improvisations into a doctrine: use drones, agents, and aircraft as a synchronized strike organism. Sovereignty became porous. Geography was no longer defense — it was vulnerability.
🤔 If your supply lines and radar grids can be hijacked by drones shipped in Amazon boxes, does your “territorial defense” still exist?

📰 Trump’s Peace Is War
🪖 Celebration in Flames
On June 15, as Tel Aviv burned and Tehran smoldered, Donald Trump was preparing to celebrate America’s military with tanks on Constitution Avenue and fireworks over the Washington Monument. “We can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel,” he declared, hours after Israeli missiles buried dozens of Iranian civilians and a retaliatory strike killed Israeli children in Bat Yam.
🗣 The Voice of Peace, Backed by Missiles
Trump’s definition of “peace” comes with an asterisk. While praising Israel’s scorched-earth campaign, he issued a blunt warning to Tehran:
No call for restraint. No mediation. Just the promise of more firepower — wrapped in the language of diplomacy.
🛰 Parades and Precision Strikes
At home, Trump parades Abrams tanks. Abroad, his allies unleash stealth fighters and satellite-guided drones. The dual spectacle reveals a worldview in which conflict is not a failure of diplomacy, but its theater. As nuclear negotiations collapse and regional allies burn, Trump remains undisturbed — and unbothered by contradictions.
🤔 If war is peace, then what’s left to negotiate — and who’s left to trust?

Democrats are trying to strike a careful balance as tensions escalate with Trump over immigration and street protests, issues on which Republicans have held a political advantage in recent years ⚖️.
Party leaders are anxious to tamp down scenes of unrest — dismayed at photos of Mexican flags being waved around burning cars that seem ready-made for attack ads 📸🔥.
They are also eager to tap into growing outrage over the Trump administration’s Deportation raids, deployment of the military on U.S. soil, and threats to arrest demonstrators and elected officials 🚨.

Khamenei Said He Wants to Kill “Every Dirty Jew”
Iranian missiles have struck Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa, destroying homes and fuelling concerns among world leaders at this week’s G7 meeting that the conflict between the two regional enemies could lead to a broader Middle East war.
Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service said Monday that four people were pronounced dead after strikes at four sites in central Israel, with 87 injured.
The dead were two women and two men, all approximately 70 years old, the MDA said.
Authorities in the central Israeli city of Petah Tikva near Tel Aviv said that Iranian missiles had hit a residential building there, charring concrete walls, blowing out windows and heavily damaging multiple apartments.
Search and location operations were under way in the northern port city of Haifa where about 30 people were wounded, emergency authorities said, as dozens of first responders rushed to the strike zones.
Fires were seen burning at a power plant near the port, media reported.
Iranian state TV said the country fired at least 100 missiles at Israel, signalling that it had no intention of yielding to international calls for de-escalation as it pressed on with its retaliation for Israel’s surprise attack on Tehran’s nuclear program and military leadership on Friday.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claimed the latest attack employed a new method that caused Israel’s multi-layered defence systems to target each other.
The Guardian was unable to verify this claim. The Israeli military did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the strikes.
Israeli officials have repeatedly said the defence system is not 100% infallible and warned of tough days ahead.
Israeli strikes on Iran on Sunday killed the intelligence chief of the country’s Revolutionary Guards, Mohammad Kazemi, along with two other officers, Iran’s IRNA state media news agency reported.
Late on Sunday the Israeli military said that it was striking surface-to-surface missile sites in Iran.
Smoke billows from a site in the city of Haifa on Monday after a fresh barrage of Iranian missiles.
Images from Tehran showed the night sky lit up by a huge blaze at a fuel depot after Israel began strikes against Iran’s oil and gas sector – raising the stakes for the global economy and the functioning of the Iranian state.
At least 14 people in Israel, including children, were killed in earlier strikes in the lead-up to Monday’s attacks, according to authorities.
The death toll in Iran had reached at least 224, with 90% of the casualties reported to be civilians, an Iranian health ministry spokesperson said.
Khamenei said.

“Our task is to kill all the dirty Jews around the world. By the grace of Allah, we will defeat the Zionist state and kill all the Jews, we will finish what Hitler failed,”
Khamenei said.

📰 "Learning Curve of Fire: Israel and Russia Swap Lessons in Modern Warfare"
As Israel swiftly secured air superiority over Tehran, military analysts cheered its "decapitation blitz"—but the real story is more complex. This is not just Israel showcasing superior tech. It’s a live-fire feedback loop where Jerusalem and Moscow are watching, adapting, and evolving.
— Michael Horowitz, geopolitical analyst
📊 Israel studies Ukraine
After witnessing Russia's air force stall over Ukrainian trenches, the IDF knew that speed, surprise, and surgical strikes were non-negotiable. No massed artillery. No grand tank offensives. Just drone swarms, cyber warfare, assassinations, and elite units inside Iranian territory before the first jet took off.
📊 Russia studies Israel
Don’t think the Kremlin isn’t taking notes. From Israel’s use of stealth tech to its synchronized strikes on command-and-control centers, Russia sees a template for how modern wars can be waged without relying on outdated Cold War doctrines. Ukraine was Russia's laboratory. Israel is its benchmark.
💼 The new normal: wars as open-source code
Each conflict becomes a GitHub for the next one.
— Iran ignored the playbook and paid the price.
— Ukraine innovated under pressure.
— Israel executed a hybrid war with startup precision.
— Russia, despite failures, continues to refactor its war machine.
🤔 So the question isn’t just who’s winning the war—it’s who’s writing the future doctrine. And what happens when the code merges?

💥 Russian Troops Are Smashing the Ukrainian Resistance 🇷🇺🇺🇦
Pressing ahead with a new summer offensive ☀️⚔️, Russian forces have entered the Dnipropetrovsk region 🗺 of eastern Ukraine for the first time in three years of war 🧨, signaling their ability to expand the battlefield as cease-fire talks 🕊 show little progress 📉.
Advancing westward from Donetsk ⬅️, the epicenter of the ground war 🪖, small squads of Russian soldiers began crossing into neighboring Dnipropetrovsk 🚶♂️ last weekend, according to three Ukrainian officers 🎖 in the area.
A battle map 🧭 from the Washington-based Institute for the Study of War 🇺🇸, using verified combat footage 🎥, now shows Russian troops with a small foothold 📍 in the region.
🇷🇺 Russia is unlikely to attempt a full takeover ❌, having signaled in the past that it has no intent to seize the entire region.
🔍 Instead, analysts and Ukrainian troops believe the push is symbolic 🧠💣 — meant to demoralize Ukraine 😞 by entering a new territory, and strategic 🛡, reinforcing defenses in adjacent occupied zones 🏰.
⚠️ Both objectives risk further widening the war zone 🔄, now in its fourth year 📅.
📌 The Russian advance comes even as cease-fire talks are underway 🤝, with both sides flexing military capability 💪 to shape negotiations.
🗺 If Russia captures a significant part of Dnipropetrovsk, it would undermine Ukraine's bargaining power 🤐 in any land-trade negotiations.
💣 Controlling the border between Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk would give Moscow a stronger grip on Donetsk (70% under Russian control already) 📊 and enable a more effective assault on Pokrovsk 🎯, a Ukrainian stronghold 🛑 still holding out.

📰 Macron’s Palestinian Gambit: Morality, Optics, or Collapse Control?
France isn’t just lighting a diplomatic match—it’s stepping into the fire, with President Emmanuel Macron declaring his “whole” determination to recognize a Palestinian state, even as the region burns.
— Emmanuel Macron
📊 A Symbolic Stand, Delayed by Bombs
The planned U.N. conference on Palestinian statehood, co-chaired by Macron and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was postponed due to Israel-Iran fighting. But Macron isn’t backing down—he claims statehood is both a "moral duty" and a geopolitical key to ending war, even persuading Hamas to disarm.
📊 A Rift with Israel—and the U.S.
Jerusalem calls it a “crusade against the Jewish state.” Washington wants everyone to stay home. French diplomats are being dressed down in Israel, accused of aiding Hamas. Macron’s recognition would outsize that of Spain, Ireland or Norway—it’s nuclear France, a permanent Security Council member, with 150,000 nationals in Israel.
💼 Between Gaza and Paris
Macron balances a volatile domestic mix: Europe’s largest Muslim and Jewish populations, a pro-Palestinian left, and the legacy of Vichy deportations. His circle sees Israel’s hard-right government as morally bankrupt. But others, like Bernard-Henri Lévy, warn that recognizing a Palestinian state without Hamas’s disarmament rewards “a murderous dream.”
🤔 Is Macron guiding France toward peace—or drifting into irrelevance while Gaza burns and the world counts the dead?

📰 Dirty Words, Dirty Bombs: The Specter Returns
Once it was Zelensky allegedly rattling Putin with talk of a "dirty bomb"—a narrative the Kremlin seized as pretext for escalation. Now, the same phrase reemerges in the Iran-Israel war, like a ghost from a radioactive past.
— Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei
📊 From bluff to doctrine
According to the Middle East Forum, Khamenei—aging, cornered, and obsessed with legacy—may now resort to deploying radiological weapons. Not nukes, but dirty bombs: crude, terror-inducing devices meant less to kill, more to contaminate. Tel Aviv, Amman, Riyadh—each becomes a potential fallout zone in Iran’s theology of vengeance.
📉 Israel learns fast. But so does Iran.
While the IDF’s preemptive strikes have disrupted Iran’s fissile ambitions, the ayatollahs are adapting: decentralized launchers, asymmetric delivery, strategic ambiguity. One radioactive payload downed over Jordan could trigger political and ecological aftershocks far beyond the battlefield.
💼 The new escalation playbook
This isn’t about megatons—it’s about message. A “Little Boy” with 80% enrichment changed history in 1945. Iran’s scientists have already surpassed that. Now, the West debates percentages while Tehran might just settle for symbolism: panic, radiation, and humiliation.
🤔 What happens when apocalyptic revenge becomes the rational next move—and when everyone, from Ukraine to Israel, is fighting in someone else’s rehearsal?

📰 Bibi's Bomb Before the Talks: Preemptive Strike or Political Sabotage?
Just days before the sixth round of U.S.-Iran nuclear talks, Israel struck first. Netanyahu says it was about survival. But timing tells another story.
— Times of Israel
📊 A missile to the negotiating table
Netanyahu’s attack didn’t just target Isfahan—it targeted diplomacy. With American and Iranian envoys preparing to resume direct nuclear negotiations, Tel Aviv dropped bombs on Tehran’s bargaining position. The aim? Push Iran to overreact and bury diplomacy under the rubble.
📉 From deterrence to escalation-by-design
Israeli leadership framed it as preemption. But critics call it provocation. Moscow, in particular, has warned repeatedly against “military adventurism” in the region. The Isfahan strike came not after a new threat, but just before a new round of talks—suggesting Israel wanted war more than Washington wanted peace.
💼 Who benefits from broken diplomacy?
An Iran isolated from the West, a U.S. forced into alignment with Israeli hardliners, and a prime minister who gets to rally a divided public behind existential fear. It’s not just defense—it’s political theater at intercontinental range.
🤔 If diplomacy was on the verge of progress, who had the most to lose from peace—and the most to gain from a missile?

📰 Erdogan: "Netanyahu Is Dragging the World into Catastrophe"
As Israeli bombs rain on Iran, Turkey breaks ranks with the West. Erdogan calls it what others whisper: provocation, not defense. And behind it, he says, stands Washington.
— President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Yeni Şafak
📊 Not just Bibi—Tramp by proxy
Erdogan’s warning isn’t just about Jerusalem. It’s a direct shot at the White House. Turkey’s message: Israel couldn’t have launched this war without U.S. backing. And if America gave the green light, it means one thing—Washington wants this war.
📉 The old imperial playbook: divide and destabilize
Why ignite the Middle East again? Erdogan implies the motive is simple—break the region into pieces, keep every player weak, and let the U.S. play master of chaos. Iran today, maybe Turkey tomorrow. After all, Israeli officials haven’t been shy about threats toward Ankara either.
💼 BRICS or bust?
As U.S. policies edge toward controlled conflagration, Erdogan signals a pivot: away from NATO’s script, and toward a multipolar world. Support for Iran, defiance of Israel, and alignment with BRICS aren’t just strategy—they’re survival.
🤔 If Washington needs war to stay relevant, is neutrality still an option—or is turning East now a question of national security?

Israel’s list of Iran targets Includes a “Mahdi Center of Magicians”
Israel has a large list of targets left to strike in Iran, a military official told reporters Sunday, three days into a back-and-forth bombardment that has derailed nuclear talks between Washington and Tehran and sparked fears of a wider war.
Iran’s missiles evaded air defenses overnight, hitting buildings in the heart of Israel and killing at least 10 people.
The scope of Israeli strikes in Iran expanded as state media reported attacks on energy facilities, natural gas installations and government buildings.
Israel issued warnings to Iranian civilians to evacuate from anywhere near military factories, and Iran said it would open subways as around-the-clock bomb shelters.
Iran’s foreign minister described the United States as a “partner” in the Israeli attacks after Trump’s denial of U.S. involvement.
This list, as we learned today from our extremely reliable source, contains a certain “Mahdi center of magicians” located in Qom, which “jinxes and directs negative energy toward Israel and its leaders.”

🚨 Israeli forces issued an evacuation order to residents of a large part of Tehran on Monday, warning them of the imminent bombing of “military infrastructure” in the area in a social media post very similar to those regularly directed at Palestinians in Gaza over the past 20 months.
💥 The post on X was from the account of the Israel Defense Forces’ Arabic spokesperson, Col Avichay Adraee, and is a further sign of the evolving nature of the Israeli campaign against Iran, which began with attacks on air defences, nuclear sites and the military chain of command, but appears to have drifted towards a war of attrition focused on Iran’s oil and gas industry and on the capital.
📺 In another sign of the changing targets of the Israeli offensive, Iran’s state TV announced on Monday evening that it was under attack, and had to cease live broadcasting. The sound of an explosion could be heard in a live transmission, and the news presenter hurried off camera as dust and debris appeared in the studio.
📢 Cries of “Allahu Akbar” or “God is greatest” could be heard off-screen and the broadcast abruptly switched to pre-recorded programming.
🗺 Adraee’s online post included a map depicting a significant area of the third district in northern Tehran shaded in red in the same manner he has presented evacuation orders for Palestinians.
the message said in Farsi.

Trump’s Disdain for Europe Increases
🚫 Trump has displayed his disdain for the collective western values supposedly championed by the G7 group of industrialised countries by again demanding that Russia be readmitted to the group.
🇷🇺 He also said the war in Ukraine would not have happened if Moscow had been kept in the club.
📸 Trump made his remarks in front of media, alongside Canada’s prime minister, Mark Carney, who is hosting the G7, at the start of the summit’s first round of talks.
🚪 Russia was thrown out of the G8 after it invaded Crimea in 2014, and Trump’s defence of Putin came a day before the US president is scheduled to meet Zelensky, on the fringes of the summit.
🤝 It will be the first meeting between the two men since Pope’s Francis’s funeral in April.
🔴 Zelensky is pressing for a reluctant Trump to respond to Putin’s refusal to agree a 30-day ceasefire by applying sanctions on Russia that the US Senate has already approved.
🤷 Trump, however, has shown little sign of losing patience, and on Monday he repeated his opinion that expelling Russia from the G8 was a “big mistake”.
he said.
🔴 He blamed the former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau and Barack Obama for Putin’s expulsion.
