📡 The ......., the...... Comparative

در این گرامر، ساختار "the... the..." با صفات و قیدهای مقایسه‌ای (مثل bigger, more quickly, less money) استفاده می‌شود تا نشان دهد هرچه یک چیز بیشتر یا کمتر باشد، چیز دیگری هم به همان نسبت تغییر می‌کند.

ساختار 1️⃣

The + صفت/قید‌تر،
the + صفت/قید‌تر

بعد از هر نیم جمله مقایسه ای میتونیم فاعل و فعل رو برای تکمیل جمله بیاریم.

مثال‌ها:
- The bigger the animal, the more problems you have.
> هرچه حیوان بزرگ‌تر باشد، مشکلات بیشتری خواهی داشت.

- The earlier we start, the sooner we'll finish.
> هرچه زودتر شروع کنیم، زودتر تمام می‌کنیم.

the + more / less + اسم, the more/ less + اسم

مثلاً:
- The more time you spend on it, the better the result will be.
> هرچه زمان بیشتری صرفش کنی، نتیجه‌اش بهتر خواهد بود.

- The less sugar you eat, the healthier you feel.
> هرچه شکر کمتری بخوری، احساس سلامتی بیشتری خواهی داشت.

1. When I arrived at the station, the train _had left_.
Past perfect shows the train left before you arrived.


2. She _had been cooking_ for hours before the guests finally showed up.
Past perfect continuous emphasizes the duration of the action before another event.
