For its time, Simon was a real breakthrough. Mobile phone, pager, fax, notepad, address book, e-mail and, most importantly, the virtual keyboard! You could even take handwritten notes with the stylus. The touchscreen was Monochrome with a resolution of 160x293 pixels. Simon cost about $1100 and to send SMS from it cost about $5.
