Ucchi Pillayar Temple, Tiruchirappalli
Ganesh Chaturthi in Ucchi Pillayar Temple, Tiruchirappalli
Ucchi Pillayar Temple is situated at the top of Rockfort in Trichy. Cut from rock by the Pallavas; this temple has amazing rock architecture. It was the Nayak rulers from Madurai who finished the structure during the Vijayanagara dynasty rulers. From here you can get glorious views of Trichy and Kaveri River. It is believed that Ganesha disguised himself as a shepherd boy and convinced Vibhisan to keep the idol of Vishnu and an angry Vibhisan unknowingly hits the Lord. So that mark is there on the idol’s head as well.

Shree Vinayaka Devaru Temple, Idagunji, Karnataka

501 kms and 9 hours drive from Bangalore and 173 kms and 4 hours from Mangalore, the Vinayaka Devaru Temple in Idagunji was built in the 4th Century.
Afraid of the terror, the Kali Yuga, would bring, sages had started performing rituals imploring to Lord Krishna to redeem them. Their rituals though faced obstacles throughout, on the suggestion of Narada (the divine sage) who suggested they pray to Ganesha (the remover of obstacles). They gathered on the bank of River Sharavathi, at Kunjavana asking Ganesha to intervene, singing him hymns and praises. Pleased by their devotion, Ganesha decided to remain at the place and help them conduct their rituals without difficulties. The lake there was then named Ganesha-Tirtha and supplied water to the temple.
The central idol in the temple is that of a Ganesha with two arms standing on a stone slab, wearing a yagnopavita (sacred thread) and a necklace of small bells.

Reading is a common pastime of many highly successful people. The majority today can't sit alone for 2 minutes without becoming bored, picking up their phone to go on social media, probably to post how bored they are. There is a DHANUSH (Arrow) STAMBH at SOMNATH that states in Sanskrit verse
" *आसमुद्रान्त दक्षिण ध्रुव पर्यंत अबाधित ज्योतिर्मार्ग "*
(now also written in English) that if one were to draw a line from north right upto Antarctica, the land on which
*SOMNATH stands is the only Land mass inbetween; rest is just sea*!
It means if you start travelling from Somnath Temple towards South in sea, you will not meet any land until you reach the South Pole aka Antarctica. The nearest land towards South Pole is about 9936 KM away.
Have you been there?

Bhagvan Hanuman Temple, Girjabandh Village, Ratanpur district, Chhattisgarh
( worshipped as a female Hanuman only one in the world
there is a small temple where Lord Yes, you read that right. It is certainly surprising that the God who is a synonym to masculinity has been worshipped as a female.
The Hanuman Temple is located at and is believed to have been in existence for centuries. As per local legends, it is said that the temple was built by Prithvi Devju, a local king who was suffering from leprosy, after he saw Lord Hanuman instructing him to build a temple in a dream.
As he was his ardent devotee, he vowed to build a temple dedicated to his lord. When the construction of the temple was about to be completed, Lord Hanuman appeared in his dream again and asked him to bring an idol from the nearby Mahamaya Kund and install it inside the temple. But when he reached the place and searched for the idol, he found it in a female form.
Being a devotee, he came back with that female idol of Lord Hanuman and kept it inside the temple. Soon he got cured of leprosy. )
