Ambika Mata Mandir is a Hindu temple located in the village of Jagat, about 50 km southeast of Udaipur in the state of Rajasthan, India. Ambika Devi, a form of Goddess Durga is the presiding deity of the temple. The temple, located in a cleft of rock possesses a number of inscriptions. The earliest one, dated 961 AD, refers to a repair made to it. Today, the temple is preserved by the State Department of Archaeology and Museum, Rajasthan.
The temple is an early, transitional, example of the style known as Māru-Gurjara architecture.

Manimahesh Lake (also known as Dal Lake) is situated in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, in the Bharmour subdivision of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Nestled at an elevation of 4,080 meters, it is considered only second in significance to the Lake Mansarovar in Tibet. Manimahesh literally means "Shiva's jewels". According to a local legend, on a full moon night, one can see the reflection of this jewel in the magnificent lake.
Most of the year, it remains closed due to the snow. To reach the lake, one has to trek a distance of 13 km through enchanting mountains and greenery. Shaped like a saucer, the Lake is divided into two main parts - the larger part is the Shiv Katori (the bathing place of Lord Shiva), and the lower part is called Gauri Kund (the bathing place for Goddess Parvati).

It was the Nayak rulers from Madurai who finished the structure during the Vijayanagara dynasty rulers. From here you can get glorious views of Trichy and Kaveri River. It is believed that Ganesha disguised himself as a shepherd boy and convinced Vibhisan to keep the idol of Vishnu and an angry Vibhisan unknowingly hits the Lord. So that mark is there on the idol’s head as well.
