The Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple 🙏
Incredibly beautiful Mahavishnu temple situated in Srirangapatna, Karnataka, on an island surrounded by the Kaveri River.
Lord Mahavishnu is consecrated here as Ranganatha, in a reclining posture on the serpent Adisesha. Since this is the first of the Pancharanga Kshetras, the temple is also known as Adi Ranga.

These are the original idols of Shri Rama, Lakshmana and Sita which were removed & sent to a safe place before the Ram Mandir was desecrated by Babur.
When Babur marched into Ayodhya, the caretaker of the temple Pandit Shyamanand Maharaj fled Ayodhya along with the idols & handed them over to Swami Eknath Maharaj of Paithan.
Later these idols were handed over to the Guru of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Swami Samarth Ramdas.
When Swami Samarth was on a tour of South India, he placed those idols on the banks of the holy sangam of rivers Tunga & Bhadra forming Tungabhadra in a small town called Harihar, Karnataka.
The idols have been worshipped since then by the Gurus of Narayan Ashram in Harihar.
There was a huge celebration in Harihar after the Ayodhya verdict.
The people of Harihar and the Narayan Ashram are now preparing to return back the idols to Shri Rama's Birth place, Ayodhya.🚩
