*Sri Polimera Anjaneya Swamy Temple*

Sri Polimera Anjaneya Swamy Temple located in Pavuluru in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The temple's history is steeped in local legend and devotion. Veeranjaneyaswamy is worshipped here according to Vaikhasana Agamana tradition along with Suvarchaladevi.

The diety is known to be powerful and fulfills the requests of devotees if worshipped with sincerity.

The uniqueness of this Hanuman temple is that it does not have a roof. Both rain and sunrays fall on the Hanuman idol.
However, no matter how many times they tried to build a roof on top of Hanuman's Moolavigraha, but every time the roof was collapsing due to the divine vibration of the wind.Villagers thought that Lord Hanuman himself didn't want the roof so it was collapsing everytime. That's the reason even the rest of the mandapa was built without a roof.

According to the local legend, Poli was a malevolent demon who caused great distress and suffering in the region. His tyranny led to widespread misery among the people. In their desperation, the villagers prayed to Lord Hanuman, a revered deity known for his strength and protective powers, to save them from Poli's misdeeds.

Responding to their pleas, Hanuman intervened, engaging in a battle with the demon. After a fierce confrontation, Hanuman defeated Poli and drove him away. To commemorate this victory and ensure lasting protection for the villagers, Hanuman is said to have left a sacred idol in the area, which is enshrined in the Polimera Hanuman Temple.

The demon Poli's story is more symbolic and serves to illustrate Hanuman’s role as a protector against evil forces. It also highlights the deep-rooted nature of regional legends and their significance in the cultural and religious practices of local communities.

Jakhu Temple Shimla, Himachal

When Hanuman ji reached Shimla ???

Answer:

There was a war going on between Lord Rama and the King of Lanka, Ravana. Even after the war continued for many days, Ravana's army was looking weak in front of Lord Rama's monkey army. Then Ravana's son Meghnad shot a Shakti arrow at Lakshman, due to which he fell unconscious. On the advice of the doctor, Hanuman ji set out to bring Sanjivani herb from the Himalayas for the treatment of Lakshman.

Hanuman ji, who was traveling through the sky, saw a Yaksha Rishi doing penance on Jakhu mountain. Hanuman ji got down at this place to rest on the way and ask for information about Sanjivani herb. After getting information about Sanjivani from Yaksha Rishi, Hanuman ji promised to meet him again.

Due to the illusion of a demon named Kalanemi, Hanuman ji got late, so he returned by a short route and could not meet the Yaksha Rishi as per his promise. The Rishi became worried at this. To remove his worry, Hanuman ji finally appeared before the Yaksha Rishi. After this, the self-manifested idol of Hanuman ji appeared at this place.
