*Pathala Ponniamman Temple-Chennai*
Pathala Ponniamman Temple is an Devi temple located in the neighbourhood of Kilpauk in Chennai.
Since the temple is located near the border of Purasawalkam and Kilpauk, it is also called as 'Purasawalkam Pathala Ponniamman temple'. This temple's main deity goddess is the 'family deity' of about one lakh families of Chennai and its surrounding areas. Mostly women deities dominate worshipping this temple. 'Thirukkaappu pooja' is performed here at this temple daily in between 06:15 a.m. and 06:45 a.m.
*Temple History*
Chennappa Nayak belonging to Vijayanagara Empire ruled Madras 350 years ago. During his reign, the British, who had come here to do businesses, acquired land in the Purasawalkam area (nowadays 'Kilpauk area') on lease, for the purpose of agriculture. The area was filled with mango trees and flowering plants. For irrigation, needed plenty of water. So, the British officials ordered to dig a well as a source of water. During digging below a depth of about 30 feet, a big stone of obstacle was found. While removing it from the underground, it was found as a stone image of a deity goddess and also found along with it was an idol of deity goddess, made of 'Panchloha' (five metals). People surrounding that area worshipped the two, performed poojas, abhisheks, aradhanas, etc. Later, the stone image was established and consecrated as the main deity goddess with the name 'Pathala Ponniamman' and the Panchloha idol as the utsav deity goddess as 'Utsav Pathala Ponniamman'.
Pathala Ponniamman is also called as Pathala Nagathamman, and she is also believed to be a form of Mata Manasa Devi, the mother of serpents, who is famously worshipped by the North Indians.
As per ancient legend, once at the present place of the temple, lot of snakes lived. Though they didn't cause any troubles to the people, but, however due to their gigantic size, the people who lived around this area were very much afraid, and hence they began to pray to Ma Shakti Devi.
Soon, their prayers were answered, and one day, all of the snakes were
transformed in the form of snake deities, and as a form of expressing their gratitude, the devotees of Ma Shakti Devi, had
constructed a temple and named it as "PATHALA NAGATHAMMAN
TEMPLE", and in course of time, the temple was came to be known as "PATHALA
TEMPLE".
Since Amman has transformed the original serpents into deities, those who suffer from Naga Dosha are advised to visit and worship this holy Amman, in order to get rid from their Naga Dosha.

near Purushottampur in Ganjam district of Odisha.Tara Tarini hill shrine is a major centre of Shakti worship in Odisha.

This temple had been built as per traditional Rekha style of Odia temple architecture, as per which famous Jagannath temple of Puri and Lingaraj temple of Bhubaneswar have been built.
Unlike other temples, it wasn’t built under the patronage of a King or a Noble, the temple was set up by a Brahmin named Basu Praharaj as per popular legend.
Since its inception it has been an established seat of Tantrism.
It is believed that the Shakti Pithas are the locations where the body parts of Maa Sati fell, after being cut by Sudarshan chakra of Lord Vishnu during the events of the Daksha yajna. It is said and believed that Tara Tarini Mandir is located where Maa Sati's breasts fell.
One of the biggest and longest religious fairs of the country, Chaitra Mela is held here every year in the month of March–April.

*Mavinakere Sri Bettada Ranganatha Swamy Temple*
Bettada Ranganathaswamy Temple is a sacred Hindu temple located at Halekote village in the Hassan district of Karnataka. Situated atop the Mavinakere Hill, it is one of the popular temples in Karnataka.
Bettada Ranganathaswamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Ranganatha. It is a cave temple with star-shaped architecture and also has a statue of Hanuman. Sri Ramanujacharya, who introduced Vishishtadwaitha, is said to have rested for a while here on this hill and sought the darshan of Sri Ranganatha, offering his devotional bhajans. There is a 3 feet standing idol of the lord behind the Ranganatha stone in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. On the other side of the cave is a Hanuman sculpted on a rock.
The pratishtapana of the presiding deity is said to have been done by the great Vasishta Muni. As per the history, Mavinakere was the residence of Palegar Lakshmana Nayaka and a ruined fort belonging to the Palegar is situated here. When he ruled this region, he noticed that one of his cows was emptying it's milk on top of the Mavinakere hill. Out of curiosity, he followed the cow, and indeed it was emptying on a stone in the cave. From that day onwards, the stone is worshiped as Lord Ranganatha, though at that time there was a dispute that the stone was Shiva linga. The inscriptions call the deity
Thiruvengalanatha, who is none other than Lord Vishnu.
A special procedure called Vaikhanasa Agama is observed to clean the temple and different poojas are done. The grand Rathotsava on Pushya Nakshatra Trayodashi-Chaturdashi, i.e the previous day of Full Moon during Magha Masa, marks the start of a 15 days long grand jatra that takes place at Ranganathswamy temple. Thousands of devotees from all corners of the state gather here during this Jatra.
