Vazhappully Shree
Rajarajeshwari Temple
Vazhappully Shree Rajarajeshwari Temple is among the first and foremost family temples in Kerala which dates back to more than 500 years. This temple is situated towards the west of Edamuttom in Thrissur District, Kerala State. Due to the presence of the supreme soul of Goddess Bhadrakali, in olden days devotees sacrificed chicken and goat to this temple as offerings. Later in the Malayalam Year 1122 Edavam month (1947, May) a beautiful Panchaloha idol of Sri Rajarajeswari was reinstalled as the main deity by Sri. Narasimha Swamigal, the first disciple of Sri Narayana Guru.
Rajarajeshwari β prominently known as Goddess Lalita, is considered as the Hindu Goddess of beauty and enjoyment. She comes in the third position among the Dasha Mahavidyas and also known by the names Tripurasundari and Shodashi.
Goddess Rajarajeswari is having the amalgamate powers of Goddess Mahalakshmi, Goddess Saraswati, Goddess Parvathi and Goddess Bhadrakali.
Miracle in the Temple:
It was predicted by Sri. Narasimha Swamigal that this transformation from the Bhadrakali Goddess to the Rajarajeswari Goddess (from a fierce form to humility) can show unusual changes in nature at the time of reinstatement. Surprisingly, during the relocation of the idol in May 1947, the trunk of a huge tree Mimusops Elengi on the south side of the temple was split in two and fell showing the powers of the goddess Rajarajeswari. It was one of the extraordinary βmiraclesβ that our ancestors and elders witnessed. Although the idol is of the goddess Sri Rajarajeshwari, the basic mantra is of the goddess Bhadrakali.
Devotees are blessed with prosperity, wealth, and bestowal blessings. The goddess Rajarajeswari is considered the protector of this region. All devotees, regardless of their nationality, caste, creed and religion are welcome in this temple to fulfill their wish.
This temple is known for Gandharva Pooja and Mangalya pooja.
Gandharva Pooja β for Women:
Gandharva Dosha can cause frequent abortions, infertility, obstacles in marriage, hysteria and depression in a woman. Gandharva pooja can help eliminate the evil effects of Gandharva Dosha.
Mangalya Pooja:
Mangalya pooja to remove obstacles to getting married and find a suitable life partner.

Golfa Devi Mandir- Mumbai
Golfa Devi Mandir is located at Worli in Mumbai. The temple and the goddess is central to Koli fishing community, So much is the faith of these local folks in the Goddess that they do not start any task before seeking permission, be it venturing into the sea to catch fish or marriage or starting something new or even before travelling.
The temple priest Sadanand Worlikar whose family has been taking care of the temple for generations narrates the legend of the temple Goddess. The temple has been around for over 700 years, The story goes that three stones were found floating in the sea by the fishermen but when they went to pick them up found it to have substantial weight. They established a small temple with those three stones which was named as Goddess Golfa devi and its two sisters Sakhba devi and Harba devi.
The fishermen folks usually come here to pray for good catch and before venturing into the sea and to make a wish. The temple Goddess has a unique way of communicating with its devotees. Whenever someone comes for making a wish or ask something from the devi, the goddess would answer in a peculiar "Yes or a No". The priest would say some prayer and put two silver balls on the shoulder of the goddess and worshiper has to ask the question either loudly or in their head. If the silver ball on left shoulder falls first then the answer is apparently "No" and if the right one falls first then the answer is "YES". This ceremony is called "Kaul" .The priest confirmed Goddess is never wrong and hence faith in Golfa devi is very strong among the local villagers.
Till around 20 years back the stones were heavily covered in vermilion and goddess had no face till then. They asked the Goddess for permission to renovate the temple and remove the vermilion which was answered in "Yes" and that was when they removed the vermilion and her face became visible after a long time again. They have been slowly renovating and expanding the temple since then.
The temple entrance has two large pillars with guardian lions on each side, there is large verandah outside the temple where the kids come to play in the evening, Inside on a raised platform sits Golfa devi with her two sisters on each side, the stone idols have been smeared with vermilion and idols are adorned with ornaments and embroidered cloth. The two small silver balls lies next to main goddess which only the priest would place it on the main idol's shoulder whenever someone comes asking for something.

Bayalu Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Temple - Srishaila
Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Temple is located at Srishaila in Andhra Pradesh. As the temple doesn't have a roof, this temple is called as Bayalu Veerabhadra temple.
Veerabhadra Swamy is the guardian of Srisaila Kshetram who is also known as Bayalu Veerabhadra Swamy. Usually, Lord Vishnu at Shiva temple and Lord Shiva at Vishnu Temple host themselves as guardians. But the significance of Srisailam is that Veerabhadra Swamy hosts as a guardian of Srisaila Kshetram. Facing the east, in a hall towards the southern road to Ganghadhara Mandapam that's at the front of the main temple, is the Bayalu Veerabhadra Swamy temple. There is no roof to this temple, hence the god guards Srisailam without the fear of the scorching sun and tormenting rains. Few devotees, for this reason, address him as Kavali Veerabhadra Swamy.
The idol of the Lord depicts regional representation with 10 arms adorning a crown. The right arms from bottom to top hold, Sword, Restraint, Battle Axe, Trident and Arrow. Similarly, his left arms hold, Dalu, Knife, Studded club, Snake and Bow. He is seen wearing a crown with Shiva Lingam carved into it, a necklace and a garland of skulls. To his right features Daksha and to his left is Bhadra Kali.
Veera=One with Fierceness, Bhadra=One who is a form of goodness, Veerabhadra. Which means his fierceness is for our good. Lord Shiva has three forms namely, Ugra-Bhoga-Yoga. His Ugra form is Veerabhadra. Nandi-Parvata were born as a blessing of Lord Shiva. Veerabhadra and Bhadrakali were born from Lord Shiva's matted locks. These two are an integral part of Kailasa. When the world's Mother and Father, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi with all the powers vested in them start their journey towards, Earth's Kailasa, the world's centre, home to Vedas, Upasanakendra, their new called home, Srisaila Kshetram, Veerabhadra accompanied them to reside here to bless all devotees. There are many shrines dedicated to Veerabhadra all over India, but Srisailam is the only Kshetram where is he resides wholly with all his powers. Among the many avatars in which Lord Shiva resides in Srisailam, the avatar he chose to protect his devotees is Veerabhadram.
The devotees believe that worshipping this god rids them of troubles, illnesses and gifts them good health.

I wld like to share interesting fact I hv known thru a discourse I hv listened. In the above 2 pictures of Lord Gopinathji in Jaipur, u can see watch tied in his wrist. Before independence when British ruled India, a Viceroy mocked the king of Jaipur that he was wasting his time praying a statue as God. To test if the statue was a God, the Viceroy tied a watch on Lord Gopinathji's wrist. That watch had sensor & it worked only if there was movement in a body. Upto his surprise, the watch tied on Lord's wrist worked proving that the Lord's statue had life & it was God himself. Fm that day the Viceroy became a devotee of Lord Gopinathji. In that remembrance, the Lord's wrist has watch tied now also. God exists in every particle is our belief! Hare Krishna! β€οΈπΊπ¦
