DEVI NIMISHAMBA, SRIRANGAPATNA
Murudeshwara
Papanasam 108 Shivalayam.
Near Kumbakonam.

The Baghavan Rama installed 107 Shivalingas and asked Sri Anjaneya to bring one from Kasi thus making the total 108. Baghavan Rama, after rescuing Sita, performed Shiva Puja in Rameswaram to cleanse Himself of sins that befell on Him in the war killings. While returning to Ayodhya from there, Lord Rama felt that the sins of killing Kara and Dooshana in Janasthanam were following Him. The main Linga was named Ramalingaswami and the one brought by Sri Anjaneya was named Hanumantha Linga.A shrine was built for Mother Parvadhavardhini later.

*SRI VEERANARAYANA, GADAG, (Kar)*

Hoysala king Bittidevaraya (Vishnuvardhana) after embracing Vaishnav dharma, built this Mandira in 1117 A.D.
Veeranarayana is in a standing pose and wears the robe as a Veeragachche i.e, like a Veer protecting his bhaktas.
When Sri Ramanujacharya healed a Hoysala princess, impressed Vishnuvardhana became a Vaishnava.

He built five Mandiras:-
Veeranarayana at Gadag, Chennakesava at Belur, Cheluvanarayana at Melkote, Nambinarayana at Tondanur and Kirtinarayan at Talakad.

Gadugina Narayanappa or Kumaravyasa wrote Mahabharata here. It is known as Karnataka Bharatha Katha Manjari.

This Kannada version of the Mahabharata is extremely popular in Karnataka and it is hailed as one of the finest works in Kannada.
Chandramouliswara Lingam at #Kedarnath installed by Adi Guru Shankaracharya 🙏

It is said that Adhi Shankara received 5 Spatika Chandramouliswara Lingam from Lord Shiva in Kailasam and brought it to Earth through Kedarnath. He installed them in different Shankara Matams across the country.

The Samadhi of Adi Guru Shankaracharya is located just behind the Kedarnath temple. The grave of Shankaracharya is one of the most popular and most visited places in Kedarnath.

Adi Shankaracharya was a great scholar and a saint who established four sacred Mathas in India. According to history, he had made relentless journeys so as to propagate his Advaita Philosophy. The current shrine of Kedarnath is said to have been built by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century AD. It is said that after establishing four sacred Mathas, Shankaracharya attained Nirvana at this place at the age of 32 years.

Originally it was a very small temple but the entire structure of Samadhi, murti of Shankaracharya and spatika lingam were rebuilt by Shankaracharya of Dwarka and Jyothir Peeth in 2006. During the Flash Floods of 2013, the samadhi & temple were vanished.

Pashupatinath Temple at Mandsaur, also referred to as the Mandsaur Shiva temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, India.
It is also believed that this place was once the maternal residence of Mandodari, the wife of Ravana. In old city areas, people worship the idol of Ravana and avoid participating in the 'Ravana Dahan' (burning the idol of Ravana as a symbol of victory of good over evil) ritual on Vijayadashami (Dashahara) as they regard Ravana their son-in-law.
