I wanted to share a bit more about where we’re taking Ast.fun and address some of the feedback I’ve been reading.
First, yes, we’re here and we’re building.
I read the support tickets, the suggestions, the Telegram messages and the replies. A lot of the same topics keep coming back, and some of them are completely fair.
The ambition for Ast.fun is much bigger than just being another launchpad.
We want to make it the most used launchpad on BSC first, then take the concept much further.
The bigger idea is to build a consumer layer around perpetual markets.
Perps are incredibly powerful, but the way people access them today is still designed mostly for traders. Margin, funding, liquidation, order types, terminals. There’s a lot of complexity before someone can even express a simple idea like “I want leveraged exposure to this market.”
We think that experience can be completely different.
On Ast.fun, the complicated infrastructure should live underneath. On the surface, it should feel simple: discover something interesting, launch it, trade it, share it, build a community around it.
And one thing your feedback has made very clear is that we’re not there yet.
Some people still land on Ast.fun and don’t immediately understand what makes these tokens different. Some parts of the UX need to explain themselves better. Discovery can be better. Charts can be better. The experience around graduated tokens and external platforms can be better.
We know.
A lot of what we’re working on right now is about fixing exactly that.
I also see all the questions around $AST, buybacks and burns.
We hear that feedback clearly, and it’s something we’re actively thinking about as we build what comes next.
The goal is to create a much stronger connection between activity on Ast.fun and the $AST ecosystem itself, rather than treating buybacks as isolated events we decide on from time to time.
I don’t want to reveal the mechanics before they’re ready, but this is absolutely one of the areas we’re working on.
The same goes for $AST more broadly. If it sits at the center of the ecosystem, its role and alignment with the growth of Ast.fun should become increasingly clear.
And when we go quiet for a few hours, it doesn’t mean we’ve left. Most of the time it means we’re working on the things above.
We’ve learned a lot from watching the first version of Ast.fun in the wild. What people understand immediately, what confuses them, what they actually use and what they keep asking us for.
Now we’re applying those lessons.
I don’t want to spoil features or announce things before they’re ready, but what we’re working on isn’t just a few small tweaks.
We’re rethinking parts of Ast.fun from the ground up.
Same vision, much better execution.
We’ve been listening.
Now we’re building what comes next. ✨
