Announcing Starting Phase of CE-Project (Name maybe subject to change):

As you might already know, CE-Project (Collective Encoding) is a broad project that I’ve been yearning to implement for a while now.
The overall gist of the project was that I wanted to use a swarm of computers to download and encode a video, partially and automatically based on each computers best attribute. (Internet speed / CPU power / ...) And then join each part together to create the final video.
Over the years I’ve thought of new functionalities and ways I could improve such system so much, that the final product can actually be some sort of a new and advanced torrenting protocol! Let this be mentioned that I’m kinda worried that with this system completed, I May be damaging what I love (Cartoons and Animes) more than ever! So I don’t really want it to be something going out of my control, and I want to find a way for it to be profitable for the right owner of the materials being processed… But these are just my thoughts for now and I have no means or purpose of implementing such features anytime soon. Although any ideas are welcomed.
Anyway, there is a problem: I’m only one person with a really busy schedule! I can’t give any promises that I can make this project a success. But my hopes are high. My guess is that completing what I have in mind will take about 3 years with the current resources and times that I think I will be having.
The good news is that each phase of the project will be usable on its own to some degree. Hopefully!
To shed some light on what I’ll do, and what you can do to help me:

- I’ll first tell you all about the project and most important aspects of it in the future.
- Then, I’ll Start hearing your ideas, anything! Even about then name that the project should have!
- I’ll start a git project on github. (Python with Django will be my main and possibly only focus.) And will happily accept your ideas and contributions.
