University of Freiburg, has developed a new technology to introduce genes in a controlled manner to individual selected cells. They engineered a virus that transfers genetic information only into illuminated cells.

illumination, marking can be done with quantum dots. And an engineered virus can only see this marked cells to give genetical code.  As a result, only cells that are illuminated with quantum dots take up the desired genes.

So maybe moderna vaccine which has graphene quantum dots is marking the cells. In the future, an engeenered virus will only find those cells and modify them genetically. This genetical modification probably will be to protect those cells against a future deadly technological danger.
A danger which would kill everybody except those who got the moderna vax (months before) would survive!
