Semiramis was the Babylonian mythological wife and mother of Ninus (identified as the Babylonian king Nimrod). Together with their son Tammuz, the reincarnation of Nimrod, they make up the unholy family. Semiramis is the proverbial pagan goddess. Her likeness and attributes are recycled across all cultures. Some equivalents were Inanna, Ishtar, Lilith, Jezebel, Isis, Diana, Devka, Isi, etc. She could possibly be compared to the Kabbalistic feminine emanation the Shekhinah.
