K9 Flashdance: Boston Dynamics UNLEASH “SCARY” dancing robo-Spot video – to celebrate Hyundai acquisition (Watch!)
The American robotics company released a new ROBOT DANCE video on Tuesday, and just like their previous clip - it has left many people TERRIFIED.
The video has 5 of its ‘Spot’ robots dancing to ‘IONIQ: I’m On It’ by South Korean boy band BTS – the clip showcasing all the complex and precise moves the machines are capable of.
Although many praised the effort, it clearly had quite a negative effect on others, with users calling the dance “horrifying” and “dystopian.” One clearly irked woman tweeted: “I hate these f***ing robots. I hate how they try to pretend it’s not an advancement for the police state.”
Hyundai purchased a controlling interest in Boston Dynamics last week from the Japanese company SoftBank. The robotics firm was valued at $1.1BN during the deal.
