Covid mRNA vaccine HEART problem links grow for under-30s - CDC
More than DOUBLE the expected number of cases of myocarditis, a rare heart inflammation problem, have been recorded in under-30s after vaccination says a CDC officer.
Over half of all cases were in the young age group despite them accounting for a fraction of vaccine recipients. "We clearly have an imbalance there," said a CDC director.
The CDC said on Thursday it identified 216 cases of heart inflammation after a first dose of an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer, Moderna), 573 cases reported after the second shot.
