🥳🥳 Manage Errors on AlgoTest 🥳🥳

Now if you face an error during LIVE trading, you have 3 options to manage it:

1. Switch to Manual: This option will cede control to the you and you will have to close or manage your positions directly from the broker terminal. AlgoTest will no longer manage or fire orders for this strategy. Along with this we shall share with you the positions and their respective order IDs for which you are ceding control.

2. Square off: This option will square off all the running positions for this strategy. Please note this will NOT square off the order which caused the ERROR. Along with this we shall share with you the positions that we will close.

3. Resume: This option tries to resume the strategy from its Error state to its Running State. For example, imagine your broker rejects your entry order for some reason. By clicking on the Resume button you can instruct us to retry taking the entry order.

Margin errors still Auto-square off by default.

Whenever using this functionality, be sure to ALWAYS check your broker terminal as well.

There seems to an error on some orders (BFO orders) at Shoonya where the orders are in pending state and the response from the broker is delayed.

The broker is looking into the issue and working to fix it.

*Important Update: Auto Square Off for Margin error is temporarily unavailable*


Auto square off feature for strategies that go into margin errors will not be available for a few days.

If a margin error occurs, you will need to:

Click on the “view error to resume” button -> then click the “square off” button to to close all the open positions.

Please ensure your strategies are managed accordingly.

Users are facing voluntary close out issues with the broker. We are in touch with them. As soon as the issue is fixed you will be informed.

Neither square off nor resume functionality will work TILL the issue is resolved from the broker end.

Strategy RESUME functionality will start Working once the broker has resolved the issue.

It has worked for some users.

If your SLL orders have been cancelled by the broker, we shall be taking them via market.

The issue has been resolved as per the broker. If your strategy is in ERROR state you can do these things:

1. Resume: this will resume the strategy from when the error came

2. Square off: this will square off all open legs of the strategy and cancel all pending orders.

🚨 Nifty Lot Size Change 🚨

How does this affect your strategy?

Overall Settings: The nifty lot size has changed to 25 from 50, hence you will need to reduce the overall settings for eg. Overall SL, Target, Lock & trail etc, of your strategy by half.

OR

You increase the lot size INSIDE your strategy and multiply it by 2.

Now you can Login to your BROKER and ACTIVATE your strategy both from 8:30 AM onward.

🌟🥳 New Feature: Lazy Leg 🥳🌟

AlgoTest has introduced completely NEW form of Re-entry: Lazy Leg
Now after your Entry leg’s Stop Loss or Target hits, you can enter a completely new Leg – LAZY LEG. This new leg can have a different:

1. Lot qty
2. Strike
3. Option Type: CE/PE
4. Expiry
5. Target, SL & TSL
6. Re-entry on SL/Target
7. Simple Momentum

You can find the “Lazy Leg” Option under Re-entry on Target or Re-entry on SL.

Backtest of Lazy Leg is on Candle Close.
