That's because aviation uses the NATO Phonetic Alphabet to ensure every letter is understood clearly over radio communications, even in noisy environments.

🛫 THE 4 BASIC FLIGHT MANEUVERS EVERY FUTURE AVIATOR SHOULD KNOW ✈️

If you're dreaming to become a pilot of Ethiopian Airlines , these are the four fundamental flight maneuvers you should understand. They form the foundation of every flight and can help you during the simulator assessment.

⬆️ 1. Climb
A climb is when the aircraft gains altitude after takeoff or while flying.

Why is it important?
It teaches you how to control pitch, maintain the correct airspeed, and manage engine power.

⬇️ 2. Descent
A descent is when the aircraft safely loses altitude before landing or when instructed by Air Traffic Control.

Why is it important?
It helps you learn smooth altitude control, speed management, and proper planning for approach and landing.

↩️ 3. Turn
A turn changes the aircraft's direction by banking left or right.

Why is it important?
It develops coordination, situational awareness, and the ability to maintain altitude while changing heading.

✈️ CPL vs MPL – WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

If you're planning to become an airline pilot, you've probably heard these two terms: CPL and MPL. Although both can lead to the flight deck, they follow different training paths.

🛫 CPL – Commercial Pilot Licence

A CPL allows a pilot to fly professionally and receive payment for flying.

If you meet the recruitment requirements and are medically fit, your background does not automatically determine your future as a pilot.
