Ethiopian Airlines domestic destination is further expanding! Today, we proudly inaugurated Negele Borena Geda Airport and commenced a new passenger service in a grand ceremony attended by the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia His Excellency Dr. Abiy Ahmed, the President of the Oromia Regional State His Excellency Shimelis Abdisa, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew, high level government officials, the airlinesโ executives, local community representatives, and various stakeholders.
The ceremony unveiled a new airport and marked the beginning of a new thrice weekly service to Negele Borena, growing the airlinesโ domestic destination to 24.

Ethiopian Airlines recently confirmed orders for additional Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to expand its international network and modernize its fleet.
The airline is also expanding domestic operations by opening new airports and routes inside Ethiopia, including Negele Borena, Gore Metu, and Debre Markos.
