😇 Відповідь на Grammar Quiz😇

🤓 Перевіряємо 🤓

Правильна відповідь: У реченні "If he wasn’t late we would go with him" як мінімум 2 помилки.

📍Правильний варіант: "If he hadn’t been late, we would go with him".

Чому?

📌Використовуємо Mixed Conditional так як він вже запізнився і це сталося у минулому (а йти ми збираємо без нього зараз) в if clause потрібно вжити had+V3 замість Past Simple, а в main clause would + verb. Якщо і умова і результат обидва сталися у минулому (він запізнився і ми вже пішли без нього), використовуємо класичний Conditional 3 за формулою If (had + V3), would + have+V3). Правильне речення буде виглядати наступним чином: If he hadn’t been late, we would have gone with him.

📌Не забуваємо про кому після if clause - вона дуже важлива в умовних реченнях! Зверніть увагу, що коли речення починається з main clause тобто "We would go with him if he hadn’t been late", ми кому не ставимо.

🔥GRAMMAR TIME🔥

❗️Remember that the verb SUGGEST is never followed by the infinitive. These are the correct structures:

I suggest getting some financial advice (NOT I suggest TO get…)
I suggest
that we (should) get some financial advice.

❗️Remember that the word ADVICE doesn’t have a plural form.

WRONG: I got 3 advices.
RIGHT: I got 3 pieces of advice.

and the last thing. Pay attention that the noun ADVICE and the verb TO ADVISE are spelled differently.
