The famous Narasapuram lace has bagged the prestigious Geographical Indication (GI) tag. It becomes the eighth Indian product to do so at the national level.

According to the World Health Organisation's guidelines, rates of c-section deliveries in a region should ideally never exceed 15% of births. In Maharashtra, though, it's currently at 30%, with some districts even registering as high as 40%.

✔️Scientific objectives: MACE aims to study various types of celestial objects, including pulsars, black holes, and supernova remnants.
✔️Dark matter research: It will also contribute to the search for dark matter particles.
