He is expected to meet PM Modi today, with a looming economic crisis and an imminent debt repayment on his hands back home.
Mr. Muizzu said he hoped that India would be ready to “ease the Maldives’ burden”, and he is expected to request a currency swap arrangement and debt support during bilateral talks

The Indian Air Force's 92nd anniversary air show at Chennai's Marina Beach on October 6 turned tragic when over 15 lakh people showed up.
What was supposed to be a fun celebration of military aviation became chaotic as the huge crowd rushed to the exits, causing panic.
5 people lost their lives, and many more were hospitalized due to dehydration in the heat.
The event, the first major air show in 20 years, attracted people from early morning. With authorities only expecting 10 lakh attendees, the lack of crowd control and transport arrangements led to confusion and distress for many families.
