What is CDP-SURAKSHA, govt’s new digital platform to disburse subsidies to horticulture farmers?
🌾 union government has launched the CDP-SURAKSHA portal to streamline the subsidy disbursal system to horticulture farmers so as to give a major boost to horticulture farming in India under the cluster development program of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
🌾SURAKSHA Stands for ‘System for Unified Resource Allocation, Knowledge, and Secure Horticulture Assistance’
🌾public & private banks are part of this initiative- SBI, HDFC, ICICI and Bank of Baroda.
🌾MoA&FW has identified 55 horticulture clusters.
The CDP-SURAKSHA has features such as database integration with PM-KISAN, NIC, UIDAI validation, eRUPI integration, local government directory, content management system, geotagging, and geo-fencing.
