1. Operation Trident
It was a counter-attack by Indian Navy on the Karachi harbour during the Indo-Pakistan war in 1971.
India used anti-ship missiles for the first time during this operation and destroyed the Pakistani destroyer ship PNS Khaibar.
The Indian Navy's three warships - INS Nipat, INS Nirghat and INS Veer - played an important role in the attack.

3. Operation Talwar
It was the naval operation carried out by the Indian Navy during the Kargil War of 1999.
The idea was to provide no opportunity to Pakistan to claim success and to ensure that if Pakistan dared to think of expanding the battle from the limited Kargil sector, the Navy would open another front in the South. The operation involved the largest ever deployment of combatant ships in the Arabian Sea.
4. Operation Cactus
Its a operation launched in 1988, when Sri Lankan militants from the People's Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE), backed by Abdulla Luthufi, invaded Male and attempted coup in Maldives ,so India carried this opertaion to preserve the security situation in the wider Indian Ocean Region, which would be under threat
Indian Navy played very crucial role in the whole operation and secured the Indian Ocean Region

Indian Navy initiated ‘Operation Sankalp’ in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman as a measure to ensure the safety and security of Indian ships.The operation was initiated in the aftermath of escalating tension in the Oman Gulf
