Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh today laid the foundation stone of BEML’s Greenfield Rail Manufacturing facility (BRAHMA) at Umariya, Madhya Pradesh. Spanning 148 acres, BRAHMA will manufacture Vande Bharat trainsets, metro cars, EMUs, high-speed rail coaches & other advanced rolling stock for domestic and export markets.

The project will create over 5,000 jobs, catalyse local supply chains, boost MSMEs, and incorporate green manufacturing practices.
