India adds 4 new Ramsar sites, taking the total to 89!
As the world prepares to celebrate World Wetlands Day, India proudly announces the inclusion of:
1.Sakkarakottai Bird Sanctuary, Tamil Nadu
2.Therthangal Bird Sanctuary, Tamil Nadu
3.Khecheopalri Wetland, Sikkim
4.Udhwa Lake, Jharkhand
Tamil Nadu has become the state with the maximum number of such Ramsar sites (20) in India.
