Peace Pact With 2 Insurgent Groups of Tripura
๐Why in News:
A tripartite Memorandum of Settlement was signed between the Centre, Tripura Government and insurgent groups, National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) recently.
๐Details:
๐ This agreement is the 12th peace pact in the Northeast and the third related to Tripura, with over 10,000 insurgents having surrendered.
๐The Centre has resolved to develop the entire Northeast, including Tripura, by combining the concepts of โAshtalakshmiโ and โPurvodayaโ.
๐Centre has approved a special package of โน250 crore for the overall development of the tribal population of Tripura
