Amid Atul Subhash Suicide case, Supreme Court FLAGS 'misuse of Section 498A.'
SC says, "Section 498A is being 'Misused' to force husband to comply with wife's unreasonable demands."
The Supreme Court said that women make this law "a weapon in their personal dispute" with the husband and his family. "Baseless allegations are made in such cases. The motive of the woman or her family is to harass the husband and his family. If the facts are not investigated in such cases, then there will be a possibility of misuse of the judicial process," the bench noted.
