🇮🇳 The RBI has cancelled Paytm Payments Bank's licence.
–Depositors will be repaid in full, the RBI says. For Paytm, this closes the chapter on its banking ambitions entirely
The bank cannot conduct any banking business from this moment. RBI will approach the High Court to wind it up. This is the end of a years-long regulatory standoff that began with a new customer ban in 2022 and deposit restrictions in 2024
