NCERT Revamps History Curriculum, Focuses on Ancient Indian Dynasties!


NCERT has revamped its Class 7 history textbooks, removing content on the Mughals and Delhi Sultanate. New chapters now highlight ancient Indian dynasties like the Magadha, Mauryas, Shungas, and Sātavāhanas, emphasizing the 'Indian ethos.'

A new chapter on pilgrimage sites, including the Maha Kumbh, has also been added.

The changes align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aim to strengthen Indian knowledge systems. However, the move has sparked criticism, with some calling it an attempt to 'saffronize' education
