Bod - means B se bio ( organic ) waste ke degradation ke liye jo oxygen chahiye
COD - means C se chemical ( organic + inorganic ) dono ko degrade karne ke liye jo oxygen ki demand hai.
Agar demand hai to it means pollution hai tabhi to degrade karne ke liye oxygen chaiye.
That's why COD values always greater than BOD
