INS Nirdeshak, the second ship of the Survey Vessel (Large) project, was commissioned into the Indian Navy today at Visakhapatnam by Raksha Rajya Mantri. Built with over 80% indigenous content by GRSE, this advanced vessel is equipped with cutting-edge hydrographic systems like Multi-Beam Echo Sounders, Side Scan Sonars, AUVs, and ROVs. It will play a pivotal role in hydrographic surveys, navigation, deep-sea operations, and environmental studies, boosting Indiaโs maritime capabilities.
