 -The government has been promoting its "Development of Semiconductors and Display Manufacturing Ecosystem" program to position India as a leader in semiconductor technology.

- The Indian government has approved three major semiconductor fabrication plants with an investment of ₹1.26 lakh crore. These units will be set up in Gujarat (Dholera and Sanand) and Assam (Morigaon), creating around 20,000 direct jobs and 60,000 indirect jobs.

⭐ A semiconductor is a material with electrical conductivity that falls between that of a conductor (like copper) and an insulator (like rubber). Its ability to conduct electricity can be altered by introducing impurities (a process called doping), making it ideal for controlling electrical currents.

⭐ Semiconductors form the basis of electronic components like transistors, diodes, and integrated circuits, which are critical in devices such as computers, smartphones, and solar cells. Common semiconductor materials include silicon and gallium arsenide.

🚀 The significant findings were detailed in a recent paper published in ICARUS, Authored by ISRO researchers from the Laboratory for Electro-Optics Systems (LEOS) in Bengaluru.

🚀 The Instrument for Lunar Seismic Activity (ILSA), which was part of the Vikram Lander, recorded these seismic events from coordinates 69.37° S and 32.32° E

🚀 Out of the 250 signals detected, around 200 were related to the activities of the mission itself.

🚀 Researchers identified about 50 instances where the seismic signal amplitude significantly deviated from the expected background levels, possibly moonquakes.

🚀 The study highlights a notable discovery: the longest continuous seismic signal recorded lasted 14 minutes, opening path for more reasearch.

A truly secular nation cannot afford to uphold boards that manage land based on religious doctrine. The very existence of the Waqf Board undermines the integrity of civic laws, which should operate impartially, free from religious influence. Amending this act is a superficial fix—its abolition is necessary.

Clinging to such relics of religious governance weakens the foundation of equality before the law. In a modern state, land and property should be governed under a unified civil code, ensuring fairness for all, irrespective of religion. Abrogation, not amendment, is the only logical step forward.
