Statistics serve a vital purpose, but when taken at face value, they sometimes fail to tell the whole story. For example, countries that step up their efforts to prevent rape may see a rise in reported rapes rather than a decreaseโbut this is not necessarily bad. The key is to examine the cause of the increase.
the key to interpreting that statistical rise is to examine its real-world causeโwhich in some cases is an improvement in real-world policy regarding the definition of and systemic response to rape.

Sweden's seemingly oversized rape rate is perhaps the best-known example of this scenario.
During the years 2013-2017, Sweden averaged 64 reported rapes per 100,000 inhabitantsโa rate that tied for the highest in Europe.
However, when the data was examined, it became clear that Sweden's high numbers were fueled in large part by Sweden's broader definition of rape and more inclusive reporting rules compared to other European countries. When the data was recalculated using Germany's narrower guidelines, for example, Sweden's average reported rapes per 100,000 people fell from 64 to 15, a decrease of 76.56%.

Right to religious freedom isn't for conversions: Allahabad High Court
Religious conversion and fundamental right under article 25
โญ The Constitution of India under Article 25 provides the right to freely profess, practice, and propagate religion. However, this right is subject to public order, morality, and health.
โญ Judicial Interpretation: The High Court interpreted this constitutional right in the context of religious conversions, stating that the right to religious freedom does not include the right to convert others.
โญ Individual Autonomy: The court emphasizes the importance of an individual's autonomy and freedom of choice in matters of religion, underscoring that conversions must be voluntary and based on genuine belief, rather than any external compulsion.
โญ Religious Propagation vs. Conversion: The court differentiates between the right to propagate oneโs religion, which is protected as a fundamental right, and the act of converting others, which is regulated to ensure it is free from coercion.

Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance...
