This nation and its great civilization have suffered immensely, all because we lacked Shatrubodh. Will continue to do so, with this attitude. Coddling an enemy just because they had a rare moment of decency is nothing short of self flagellation.
If history can't teach us, history we shall become.

India's first INDIGENOUS METHANE EATING BACTERIA 🦠
Methylo. oryzae has an oval and elongated shape, earning the nickname "methane-eating cucumbers."
It is mesophilic, unable to grow above 37ºC.
It thrives in environments where both methane and oxygen are present, such as wetlands, rice fields, ponds, and other water bodies.
Methylo. oryzae promotes the growth of rice plants by inducing early flowering and increasing grain yield, as demonstrated with the high-yielding Indrayani rice variety.
found in rice fields and wetlands in Western India.
Methanotrophs, or methane-oxidizing bacteria, play a crucial role in reducing methane levels, a potent greenhouse gas with 26 times more global warming potential than carbon dioxide.
it is phylogenetically unique, with no strains reported or cultured from any other part of the world.

It is larger than most bacteria, comparable in size to small yeast
It is mesophilic, unable to grow above 37ºC.
It was found in the stone quarry of Vetal Tekdi, a hill in Pune, which supports an active methane cycle.
