So concept of power stems from social interaction. It takes (at least) two to clap.

Power is ability to influence the other guy to your will without getting influenced by his will in return as much as possible.
Power is the ability to negotiate. Power is the ability to exert will.


So the deciding difference between wealth and power is:
Wealth is non-zero sum in nature.
It can be created or destroyed. Not just distributed or contested. Two parties can grow rich or poor together without affecting any third party at all.
A non-zero sum game can go both net-positive or net-negative.
Power on the other hand is zero-sum by default.
Two parties are either at equal footing, or one is powerful over the other. If both grow powerful together, they have to be doing it over some other third party.
