Political science is a social science, hence the power we are discussing here is within social context. Power is a social construct. But to apply an anology with physical sciences, think of power here as similar to electrical power. How do you generate power?…
In 2016, hillary spent triple on election campaign compared to trump. And yet, Trump won.

Reason? Its not all about how much you spend, but also how you spend it. You can waste your wealth as a resource, without getting power in return.

Wealth is not power. It can not be considered it's equivalent because it doesn't automatically transforms itself into power in a guaranteed way, ever.

A lot of people confuse money = power. And this is why they end up with fallacies such as "Jews run the world" or Ambani/adani run india. Spoiler alert: they dont.
And this confusion happens because people have a bad understanding of what power is. Surely money can be invested to gain power, but that does not guarantee that such an investment will pay off, all investments are bets of course. Money can be a source of power, but that doesn't make it a power in itself.

While traveling on a typical Indian train, you must have noticed how random people in India unite over political discussions like "kon jeetega es bar."

So This time, i experienced the same,
An interesting discussion was happening, and I was silently listening to everything when suddenly one youngster said, "400 seats esliye chahiye kyuki savidhan change karna hai 😂 tabhi na savidhan change kar payenge."

And suddenly one question started roaming in mind. Really 400 seats are needed to change the constitution 😂 or 2/3rd seats which is around 363. And one of them was discussing like a Lawyer who knows every article of constitution 😂

Kuch log judicial review ki bat rahe hai 😂 ek bat batao jo constituent power of parliament hai kya uska judicial review nahi ho sakta other than changing the constitution or basic structure ?

Agar supreme court ko judicial review karna hi hoga to vo kese bhi kar hi lega under Procedure established by law nahi to due process of law. Dono option hai uske pas.

Khair judicial review kaha se aa gaya bich me uski to bat hi ni ho rahi yaha

Explanation:

I am not an expert but I'm still writing my views only :

Let's start with statement no. 3
Basic structure can't be changed by parliament ye to supreme court ki ruling hi hai ya to savidhan hi badal de pura to vo bat alag hai uske liye ye log constituent assembly banayenge phir se aur naya samvidhan likha jayega, Parliament itself can't write a new constitution. But let me make it clear something you may/may not know

Jab apna 1946 me apna constitution likhna shuru kiya tha to us time constituent assembly hi legislative assembly ki bhi tarah act kar rahi thi jiske speaker Mavlankar the aur usi ko jab as a constituent assembly ki tarah use kiya jata tha to president Rajendra prasad ji the. Han to ye option phir se repeat ho sakta hai ki parliament hi constituent assembly ki tarah act kare phir se aur naya samvidhan likh de

Statement no. 2
(It can be exercised) Can be a possibility hai bilkul ho sakta hai polity me kuch bhi Fix nahi hai.

Statement no. 1 to bilkul sahi hai kyuki supreme court ki ruling hai as per keshavanand bharti case

Aur Option 1&3 ekdum opposite hai to dono eksath jaa nahi sakte eliminate

To es hisab se Option B sahi hua

If there is any concept that comes closest to being synonymous with power. It isn't wealth, violence, knowledge etc but freedom.
When John Locke phrased "Life, liberty, and property" there is a reason he put life and liberty before the property, putting things in that order meant something. Freedom is power over your own self. Power is freedom for yourself and then some more...
Of course one can strive for both wealth and power, but if one has to choose only one among them two. A wise man would always pick the latter.

When you retain power, wealth always follows even if with a delay. But if you forego power, all your wealth will always be a borrowed asset, and you will never have the leverage to bargain to your liking.

✍️ Analysis with PYQs of History question of UPSC CDS 2024.
✍️ Three notable observations:
1. Resemblance to the Civil Services Examination (CSE) pattern, a declining emphasis on modern history.

2. Continuity in thematic areas, which align with previous trends.

3. Reduced reliance on NCERT textbooks for History.

Scientists have discovered an ocean located 700 km below Earth's surface, within a mineral called ringwoodite. This ocean exists in the Earth's transition zone.

- Ringwoodite is a rare mineral that forms from olivine under extremely high pressures and temperatures. Its unique crystal structure allows it to absorb water and hydrogen, acting like a sponge.

- The heavyweight of rocks and high temperatures deep within the Earth break down water into its components.

➡️Significance of Discovery:
- The hidden ocean within ringwoodite is larger than all surface oceans combined, challenging current theories on Earth's water sources and prompting new inquiries into its formation.
- The discovery suggests that Earth's water may have originated deep within the planet and slowly leaked out over time, explaining the abundance of water on the surface.
- This internal water source could influence volcanic activity and the formation of new crust, shedding light on Earth's geological processes.
