Declare live-in relationship or face up to 6 months jail: Uttarakhand Civil Code
Under Uttarakhand's proposed Uniform Civil Code (UCC), live-in partners should register themselves or else they would face imprisonment of up to six months and a fine of Rs 25,000 or both. Earlier today, the UCC bill was tabled in the state assembly.
