Data sheets are not very difficult to make. But the real question is about how to use the data. I tried to use the same data in multiple ways.
Eg. ₹2LakhCr is given to Food Subsidies out of a budget of ₹40LakhCr in 22-23. This is a fact.
1. Negative criticism: 5% of of budget is given to food subsidies. How poor fiscal management!
2. Defending in a positive way: For 1.7bn population, the food subsidy is merely ₹2LakhCr. More needs to be done as GHI rank is 107.
3. Writing way forward:
A.Government needs to rationalise subsidies. 5% is too much.
B. Government needs to prioritise subsidies for various issues. Set apart a fixed budget for reducing malnutrition and hunger separately.
Interpret data in as many ways as you can.

Stating the obvious: No one cares if you don't make it. Those who fail to make it by few marks, if not in reserved list are just one more aspirant.
Either you are a sensation or nothing. Cruel ecosystem not cruel exam.

UPSC toppers are a catch for all. And coaching centres want their photos, consent be damned
India's aggressive world of UPSC coaching institutes don't need a topper to have studied at the centre. Even a brief, last-minute engagement is enough to flaunt them as their own.

Why you will fail 2024 Prelims?
Please introspect:
Remember the aftermath of Prelims 2023 ? You were heartbroken, angry, confused but also determined to give it back to UPSC in 2024.
You promised the world to yourself, sat down with a pen and paper and made a "super strict" timetable, downloaded scores of productivity apps
And you were successful, albeit for a few days.
You woke up early, studied for 6/8/10 hours, and completed your goals.
But what about now? Be honest
You are back to your usual self, waking up late, doing classes half heartedly, barely making those extra efforts you promised yourself, more or less making the same mistakes which cost you 2023 Prelims
Actually you are not alone, this is the case with 99% of us aspirants
Over promise, under deliver is our USP.
And it's not your fault.
An average aspirant studies seriously for a grand total of 2 1/2 months, here is how
15 days after the Prelims exam in which you failed
15 days after getting excited seeing Mains paper of current exam cycle
15 days after New Year when one makes resolution to study seriously
15 days after notification comes out
and the final 15 days before Prelims
That makes it about 75 days of serious study out of a possible 350 days
Although normal for majority aspirants but when you do this you are disrespecting the statistically toughest examination in the country, and when you do that it punishes you back
UPSC exam or life is not a Rocky movie where you are ready to take on a world champion boxer at the end of a 3 minute motivational montage
To be better in life or at UPSC CSE you need to do the same shit day after day, week after week, month after month, slightly increasing your effort with each sitting
And it's not glamorous, let me tell you beforehand, you will want to break character and go back to the previous life of ease and comfort but it's either this or pain of regret on 26th May, 2024
The 1st failure in Prelims is crushing, the 2nd is heartbreaking but after 3rd, 4th failure you become familiar with failure, complacency sets in, criticism of parents and close ones doesn't matter to you, and you start enjoying the "vicious cycle"
And that is the worst thing that can happen to you, is to enjoy being a failure and romanticising it
Problem is this will all blow in your face once your attempts are exhausted, you have crossed a certain age and your peers have settled down with kids and good pay packet
To counter that start now, start small, but do whatever you are doing daily, increasing the intensity daily, little by little
Remember if you won't give due respect to India's toughest exam, India's toughest exam won't give you the respect back
