After IndiGo crisis, Aviation Ministry gives nod to two new Indian airlines
AI Hind Air and Fly Express are set to launch operations in India after receiving no-objection certificates from the civil aviation ministry, a move aimed at increasing competition in the domestic aviation market.
. The Centre has imposed a complete ban on granting any new mining leases across the entire Aravalli range from Delhi to Gujarat.
• The aim is to protect the Aravallis as a continuous geological ridge and stop illegal and unregulated mining activities.
• ICFRE has been tasked to identify additional ecologically sensitive zones where mining must be prohibited and to prepare a science-based management plan.
• Existing mines will face stricter environmental compliance, while protected areas in the Aravallis will be further expanded to conserve ecology and biodiversity.
