Hearbreaking ‼️Indian Wrestler Vinesh Phogat disqualified from the Women’s Wrestling 50kg for being overweight.

It is with regret that the Indian contingent shares news of the disqualification of Vinesh Phogat from the Women’s Wrestling 50kg class. Despite the best efforts by the team through the night, she weighed in a few grams over 50kg this morning. No further comments will be made by the contingent at this time. The Indian team requests you respect Vinesh’s privacy. It would like to focus on the competitions on hand: Indian Olympic Association

Keeping her political affiliations aside, isn't it just fantastic how sports regulations are managed in possibly the "greatest tournament" of our times? A guy larping as a woman strolls into the Olympics final, while a woman who gains 100gm gets kicked out of being "overweight"? Bravo to the woke, progressive and racist standards.

Vinesh Phogat and her team were well aware that the permissible weight limit for a 50kg bout is 50kg plus a tolerance of 2kg, making the upper limit 52kg. However, before the match, Phogat weighed in at 52.1kg, slightly over the allowed limit. Given that she was already on the borderline, it is not surprising that she was disqualified, especially considering how quickly the body gains weight. Phogat and her team should have been more careful. If they were aware that Phogat was already reaching the tolerance limit, appropriate measures should have been taken to ensure her weight stayed within the permissible range even before the beginning of the tournament, while also considering her health.

So basically, she wasn't overweight by 100gm but by 2kg + 100gm. Lack of utter professionalism at display here.

This video must be the work of some delusional brat who fantasizes about becoming an IAS officer and can't stomach his egoistic wannabe-reel making idols heroes getting roasted.

And then, there's this pathetic excuse of a teacher? He needs to be shown the door. Telling students and citizens to be afraid of babus because they have a 'dangerous lobby'? Give me a break. Maybe he should enroll in his own coaching institute and brush up on fundamental rights and perhaps the preamble— because the last time I checked, it starts with 'we, the people of India' not 'we the babus'.

Many ethics lessons here:

Antim Panghal is only 19 years old. So her behavior reflects what she has observed / learned from those around her.

1) She gave her ID card to her sister to smuggle into the Olympic Village. Such behavior likely from laxity in Indian sports camps & hostels, where fake IDs are frequently used without consequence. (क्योकि भारत में कोई भी ऐरा-ग़ैरा किसी का भी fake-ID कार्ड लेकर कहीं पर भी घुस सकता है। )

3 Recent cases of fake ID:
- 2021: A girl staying illegally in LBSNAA without clearing the UPSC.
- 2023: An imposter PMO officer, Kiran Patel, receiving VIP treatment in Kashmir.
- 2024: Puja Khedkar using a fake certificate to secure an IAS job.

2) Antim's support staff were accused of not paying a taxi driver in Paris. If her coaching staff isn't acting ethically, how can she be expected to have proper role models?

"TOO HOT TO HANDLE"', a young, female Paraguayan swimmer, Luana Alonso, was sent back home from the ongoing action at the Paris Olympics after reports that her breathtaking beauty was distracting the players in her own team.

Tum 100g weight se bahar hone ki bat krte ho
Yhaa jada khubsurat hone ke krn bahr nikal diya 😭😭

Treating Vinesh Phogat as a silver medalist and rewarding her 4cr is unjustified. Many athletes narrowly missed out on medals, should they not receive the same recognition or those who failed to make a cut in the Olympics? Stupid politics at play here. And lest we forget, clowns staging a walkout in the Parliament over Olympic rules, which are the same for everyone.

Managing one's diet is a crucial part of the competition itself. Despite being the only person from the entire Indian contingent to have exclusive access to her own personal coach from Belgium, trainer, dietician, and staff, all funded by the exchequer- Vinesh Phogat failed to maintain her diet and got disqualified. Each athlete was provided with top notch facilities, from world-class infra to foreign coaches, heck some even with govt jobs. So their failure to win should not make us feel guilty or justify allocating additional resources that they don't deserve, instead they should be used to nurture new talents.

Even the likes of Ethiopia, one of the poorest nations with abysmal infrastructure is above India in points tally. So it seems, it's not an infra or facilities problem, but a player problem.

At this point we are only justifying and promoting systemic mediocrity.
