In a recent judgement, the SC granted bail to an undertrial prisoner arrested under the statute of UAPA. While granting bail, the SC held that a constitutional court cannot be restrained from granting bail to an accused on account of restrictive statutory provisions in a penal statute if it finds that the right of the accused-undertrial under Article 21 of the Constitution of India has been infringed.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has recently notified a fifth Positive Indigenisation List (PIL) comprising defence items, aimed at boosting self-reliance and minimising imports and encouraging the domestic defence sector.

👉🏻 The PIL is a list of items that can only be purchased by the Indian armed forces from domestic manufacturers, including private sector or DPSUs.

weapons and ammunition have
been included in the list.

Chandrayaan-3's successful landing near the lunar South Pole, has earned it the prestigious World Space Award from the International Astronautical Federation.
