Sadly though it is the truth. The majority of aspirants in this race are chasing behind this power, money and influence only. Remove these undeserving elitist entitlements from the profile, and see the number of people applying for this position dropping like flies.

This elitist system needs to be reformed, if not replaced entirely with something more efficient and transparent. We need to cultivate civil servants not new age feudal lords. And this goes not only for the bureaucracy but other public institutions as well.

We saw something similar happening during our elections, when the opposition fear-mongered about constitutional changes, it caused widespread anxiety and rattled the public.

Without constructive outlets or goals, this fear can escalate, leading to increased tension and hostility. Eventually, the sustained state of fear and anxiety can erupt into violence as people react defensively or aggressively to perceived threats. This eventually becomes a self-perpetuating cycle of violence, ultimately destabilising the community.
