Hey, future bureaucrats!

In the light of recent events related to those fake insiders and fomo driven tactics used to increase engagement, I would like aspirants to beware of the latest trend: toppers-turned-teachers and random coaching institutes popping up like mushrooms after rain! These folks might know how to ace exams(that's also not a certainty), but teaching? That's a different ball game.

Before enrolling-

- Verify Credentials: Are these toppers just riding the fame wave?
-Quality Counts: Personalized feedback, not recycled advice!
- Demo Classes/Assesment: Get a taste before you commit.
- Genuine Reviews: Ignore the suspiciously glowing testimonials, some are planted to lower your guard.
- Proven Results: Real success or just hot air? Not everyone dishes out the same toppers, you know!
- Peer Advice: Trust your experienced peers, not self-proclaimed gurus.
-Robotic Assessments: These institutes love to dish out robotic, automated evaluations that spit out random points and generic feedback.
-Scarcity Tactics: Beware of "only 5 seats left, hurry up!" ploys. It's just a scarcity marketing trick to create a false sense of urgency and FOMO.

Having once enrolled in two such institutes managed by "Toppers", I used to receive starkly contrasting assessments for the same set of questions, which felt disparaging and undermined my confidence in their guidance.

They don't really understand your answer or its nuances, and their critiques are as insightful as a broken clock. It's very simple to start an answer writing course, as it doesn't require much of an expertise. They'll chalk random points, without themselves knowing what's the best thing to do.

Don't let these self-important toppers and coaching institutes waste your time and money. Stay sharp and all the best.

Why reforms are a must!

The rot of corruption within the IAS cadre runs deep, mocking the very principles of integrity and ethics taught in General Studies Paper 4 of the Civil Services mains Examination. Instead of internalizing these values, many IAS officers merely memorize and regurgitate them for marks, rendering the subject a hollow exercise. This results in a bureaucracy riddled with corruption which constantly betrays the public trust, siphoning billions in its personal coffers. This rampant corruption undermines the nation's progress and development, destroys public trust, and perpetuates inequality & this unethical cycle of rapacity. Stringent reforms are needed in the civil services system to urgently move beyond superficial learning and internalise the ethical standards they are supposed to uphold, and to form an efficient system which is transparent and accountable, not the the government but to the public whom it is supposed to serve.
